I have a weakness for free things, so after seeing the advertisement for a free first box from Julep on Facebook and Instagram, I quickly started my research on the legitimacy of the subscription. I've heard people raving about Julep nail polishes before, but never knew about their monthly subscription boxes. After reading many mixed reviews of the subscription, I took a leap of faith and signed up to become a Maven.
In order to become a Maven and receive your first free box for free, you have to be a new member and take a short style profile quiz. The quiz guides you to a certain direction in choosing a box that compliments your style, but you can browse through other ones and pick out the box you want. I got "Classy with a Twist Welcome Box" as a result of the quiz, but I chose the "Bombshell Welcome Box" because I preferred the nail polish colors in that box more.

I paid $3.20 for shipping and tax after using the promo code "freecolor", and received my package about 6 days after placing my order.
I must say that I was very content with the shipping, and how everything was neatly and carefully packed. Along with all of the products listed (the two nail polishes in full size and the cuticle serum), they included a freebie, which were two rectangular nail file blocks with the logo printed on them, and a 50% off coupon for a purchase on the website.
I was definitely impressed with the Julep box and will be staying subscribed for the next month. I'm hoping that the monthly subscription Julep Maven boxes will amaze me as much as this one did!
