His & Her Scents

My boyfriend, Austin, of more than two years and I have been meaning to purchase a cologne and perfume for ourselves since we both ran out. We were doing our weekly stroll around the mall when I remembered that I had a 15% off ticket for being a Beauty Insider at Sephora. Instead of buying ourselves a cologne and perfume, we used the excuse of our "month-versary" and the discount to splurge a little and buy each other a cologne and perfume that we picked out for each other.

After spending hours in Sephora spritzing every scent that they had on our arms and the paper testers, we finally chose the ones we thought were the best match for each other. I chose the Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Pour Homme for him, and he chose the Flora By Gucci in Gorgeous Gardenia for me.

The Dolce & Gabbana cologne was the perfect blend of manly and classy. It is more on the sweeter side as compared to the other overbearing men's colognes, but since we both dislike that harsh, overbearing smell, this cologne was a very fitting pick. 

The Flora By Gucci that Austin picked out for me has a very beautiful and sophisticated flowery smell. It is so versatile in that it can be used as an everyday perfume, but can also be taken as an evening, special occasion perfume. The bottle is also very classy and chic, which is always a plus. 

We both really enjoyed picking out a cologne and perfume for each other, especially since the scent we picked out would be the smell that we'd be stuck smelling off of each other. Next time your significant other and yourself are at the mall, you should suggest doing a gift exchange of this sort. Relationships are about having fun and having both sides involved in each other's lives, and this was a cute little way of doing both.
