My Online Shopping Secret!

Hello everyone! It's been quite a while but I have a bunch of new posts coming out soon!

Today, I want to share with all of you how I save money while shopping online. You've probably seen commercials on TV or even other bloggers raving about this website called Ebates and thought that it was a scam or something. LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT NOW, IT IS NOT A SCAM.

In the time that I used Ebates, which is probably a little more than two years, I've saved $232.50! If you think about it, any amount that you can get back from online shopping is a gift already but Ebates has pretty awesome cash back percentages for stores that you actually shop from.

To use Ebates, you need to sign up with either your Facebook, Google account, or email address. After you confirm your information and pass the security stuff, you set how you want your cash back. You can choose from a literal check that is sent to your home, or a direct deposit into your PayPal account. Since I use PayPal quite often, I opted for that and it has been working very well for me.

This next part is SUPER important in using Ebates correctly so I'll try my best to articulate what to do!

When you're browsing through online stores, we'll use Nordstrom for an example, you search up Nordstrom in the search bar and click on "Shop Now". (Ebates also lists a bunch of coupons and promo codes for you to use as you scroll down that store's page.)

A new tab should open when you click on "Shop Now" with a unique "Tracking ticket or Shopping trip number".

From here, you just shop normally and check out as you would. The most important thing, however, is to stay on that particular tab when you check out. I repeat, check out on that tab that opened up when you clicked "Shop Now". This is the only way that you'll get cash back!!

Realistically 3% or 6% of a $20 purchase is not a lot BUT it accumulates as you use Ebates more and more. I've had a great experience with Ebates in saving a couple bucks here and there, and would recommend it to anyone who shops online! Your big pay day occurs about every three months on a particular day so shop till your fingers fall off and enjoy your cash back!
